The VO4HOME unit, which has a market leading 14kW capacity, was installed at a three-bedroomed semi-detached house – containing typical household appliances such as a fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as various games consoles and a computer – in November last year.
Speaking of the decision to install a voltage optimisation system, homeowner Mrs Andrea Manville said:
“Like many homeowners during these tough times our family was looking at ways to combat rising energy costs. While we initially considered PV solar panels, we were put off by the costs involved. In addition, the positioning of our house was inappropriate for such an installation. Having heard about the savings achievable through voltage optimisation, and with the promise of a short payback period, we were keen to put the technology to the test to see whether our family could benefit.”
Mrs Manville added:
“The VO4HOME unit was installed quickly and without any disruption and, after installation, all our electrical appliances functioned as before. While the change in voltage wasn’t noticeable, the benefits became very clear when we received our electricity bill as it was substantially lower than before. In fact, we saved an amazing 18% without making any lifestyle changes, and without comprising on power quality.”
Commenting on the installation Geoff Clifton, VO4HOME business development manager, said:
“An increasing number of homeowners are turning to voltage optimisation to reduce their energy costs and the results achieved by the Manville family serve as proof that households can continue to enjoy all the benefits of a growing range of home appliances while at the same time being kind to the environment and their pocket.”
Created by a team that has over 150 years combined experience in designing and manufacturing special transformers, VO4HOME is a voltage optimisation system that is designed for use in homes and small businesses. The unit optimises incoming voltage to a constant 220V and can help households and small businesses save between £130 and £200, as well as around 330-500lbs of CO2 emissions per year.
The VO4HOME unit is easily fitted by electrical installers – it simply requires two wires in and two wires out to make it fully operational, a process that takes less than an hour – and does not require a change in consumer unit.
Can save money on power bills by around £130 to £200 a year
Comes with guaranteed savings
Will improve the life expectancy of electrical equipment
Will improve the power quality (reduce harmonics and improve the power factor)
Easy installation – no need to change electricity provider, no rewiring required, no maintenance required, no moving parts
Comes with a 5-year warranty
Is fully designed and manufactured in the UK. All VO4Home components, including even minor items such as the paint, are sourced from UK manufacturers
The VO4Home team has over 150 years combined experience in designing and manufacturing special transformers and the VO4Home design is a direct result of this experience.
