BOSS Training works with ex-offenders in the Yorkshire & Humber region and across the UK to provide training, helping them achieve qualifications for real job opportunities. Many ex-offenders that have taken part in BOSS training programmes have gone on to find work as a direct result of the support provided by BOSS Training.
Some of the courses the company has provided include PASMA Scaffold Tower Training, IPAF Scissor Lift, Cherry Picker Training and First Aid.
Andrew Murphy, managing director at BOSS Training commented,
“I am extremely proud to have been invited to the House of Lords on behalf of SOVA and I am very much looking forward to what I’m sure will be a memorable day. It is extremely pleasing to know that our training programmes can help reduce re-conviction amongst ex-offenders. Companies providing courses like ours can make a big difference to peoples’ lives and we are glad to be a part of the scheme.”The speech at the event will be on the subject of ‘better work, better lives’ which will explore the positive and lasting impact of work on the lives of individuals and how employment helps to create strong communities which are safer for everyone.
SOVA is a leading national volunteer mentoring organisation working with those socially and economically disadvantaged in England and Wales. For 35 years SOVA has been supporting some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society to help them fulfil their potential and change their lives.
